The transfer of ink from one surface to another is printmaking! Learn monotype, relief and dry point etching. Each lesson includes demonstrations in each technique, explanations on paper properties, inks, tools, proper use of a printing press and studio etiquette. We use non-toxic inks and cleaning supplies. Professional artists are welcome to rent the press and bring their preferred inks and material.

Cover all the basics, including appropriate materials and tools, qualities of paper, and the different properties of various adhesives. A typical introduction course will include a variety of structures such as a pamphlet stitch, accordion, and a Japanese stab binding.
